Welcome to your Tea of the Month Box!

Featuring Teas Celebrating the End of Summer.

As summertime comes to the end and the peaks of fall begin, we’re still craving fruity teas, but also heartier teas!

Fruity and fermented teas just seem like the perfect teas as the days become shorter and the nights cooler!

With a fruity herbal tea, a light fresh green tea blend, and a pure pu’erh tea, we’ve included a wide range of teas in this box, but all with clean fresh flavors.

You’ll find the following teas in your box!

You'll find the following teas in your box!

Our Autumn Harvest tea is a fruit based herbal tea full of immune boosting Vitamin C. The blend of lemongrass, hibiscus, rose hips, orange, and lemon peels are surprisingly refreshing and bright. As a naturally caffeine-free tea, this is a great drink anytime of the day. We love this sweet tart tea served hot or cold with a BBQ meal. When brewed, its beautiful maroon color makes it especially appealing served in a pitcher at a celebration meal!

As a fruit herbal tea, brew 1 tablespoon of tea in 8-12 ounces of boiling water (210°F) for 4-5 minutes or until brewed to your likely.

In addition to a great iced tea, we also enjoy this tea cold brewed.

Pu-erh

Pu-erh is different from most teas created from Camellia Sinensis leaves because it is fermented and aged before being gently dried. This aging process removes astringency while giving the tea a rich body and smooth flavor.

When tasting pu-erh for the first time, many are turned off by it’s strong flavor. If that is the case for you, a good 45 second rinse is helpful–simply pour water over your tea leaves and allow them to sit for 45 seconds. Pour off and discard that first brew. Go ahead and brew again to drink.

We love the damp aroma of this Dante Pu-erh tea–it reminds us of the smell that comes with a summer rain on a warm evening. The flavor has a bit of sweetness like a date with a bit of cream.

Brew at the temperature of a black tea. 1 teaspoon of tea in 8 ounces of 210°F water. Because of its strong flavor this tea can be brewed for as little as 30 seconds and as long as 3 minutes.

We encourage you to experiment and see what you like best!

The grower of our Dante Pu’erh, Xiao Zhang Luo, says, “Pu erh is good for digestion. Better have a cup after the meal, especially big meal. Keep on drinking will definitely keep fit and reduce fat.”

While we vouch that pu’erh is excellent for digestion, we’re still experimenting with the reduction of fat! Perhaps, picking tea leaves in the mountains of Yannin, China is what helps keep Xiao fit and thin!

Tea of the Month Box

With a base of green tea, this fruity tea brews a wonderful pink cup of vegetal green tea with burst of strawberry flavor. This light bodied tea is everything we think about drinking on a cool morning!

As a green tea, brew 2 teaspoons in 8 ounces of water at 170°F for 2 minutes.

We think a orange or pineapple slice is a lovely addition to a cup of tea.

What is loose leaf tea and why not tea bags
