July’s featured spice is Fairy Dust! Fairy Dust spice blend is a creation of De Lonne Kelly– the amazing human responsible for Fairy Blood Bloody Mary Mix.
Fairy Dust was created specifically to rim De Lonne’s famous Bloody Marys. And very soon after its creation, the Fairy Dust rim became just as anticipated as what was in the glass!
And in De Lonne’s own words, “ I created Fairy Dust by imagining what my Bloody Mary would taste like In the dry form without the tomato. Which is why it paired so well with my Bloody Marys. One day I thought to myself ‘if it tastes good on vegetables, what else does it work with?’ Chicken, eggs, pork, steak, brussels sprouts, fish, cauliflower…no matter what you put it on – you name it, Fairy dust claims it!”
We personally love sprinkling Fairy Dust on anything that needs a bit of savory punch!
July’s SpiceScription Exclusive Recipes
Along with the featured spice, SpiceScription includes three recipes to help you use your featured spice! Because we know summer can be a busy time, this month’s recipes are easy quick dishes that use ingredients you most likely already have.
Mememen (Turkish Scrambled Eggs)
Just like in the United States, eggs are a traditional breakfast food in Turkey. One popular Turkish egg preparation is Mememen. This recipe delivers soft, perfectly scrambled eggs with delicious veggies! Serve it with bread for a complete meal that will fill you up and get your day started with a bang!
Of course, the spices called for in this traditional recipe aren’t Fairy Dust Rub! But we just couldn’t resist adding one of our favorite spice blends to one of our favorite egg dishes! The garlic and paprika in this rub works really well with the rest of the ingredients.
Cheesy Fairy Dust Chicken
Taking just 10 minutes to prep this chicken is a go-to recipe in our home. It’s smoky, herby, crunchy, and just delicious!
Fairy Dust & Honey Sweet Potatoes
These savory and sweet roasted sweet potatoes are an easy and healthy side dish. Fairy Dust Rub adds a beautiful smoky and savory flavor to the sweet potatoes and honey. The sprinkle of sesame seeds bring a nuttiness and just a touch of texture while the squeeze of lime at the end brings a fresh and sour flavor. And for those who like a bit of heat, we’ve included cayenne pepper!
