December’s box includes a variety of teas which are comforting during the cooler days of the winter season. We picked out a black, green, and herbal tea this month so you can enjoy a cup of tea no matter what level of caffeine fits into your day.
We created this special winter tea just for our Tea of the Month Boxes! A blend of black tea, vanilla, and cacao nibs and husks, this tea is surprisingly sweet and satisfying. Usually, we caution against overbrewing teas, but this tea needs a good 5 minutes to brew. You may want to switch it up and steep this tea in warm milk for a luxurious holiday treat.
Brew 1-2 teaspoons of tea in 8-10 ounces of 210° F water for 5 minutes.
This green tea is a blend of Sencha and Bancha teas with the addition of pink peppercorns, orange slices, and safflower. The fresh green –almost herbal–notes of the tea leaves are nicely balanced with a hint of spiciness from the peppercorns and the nuttiness of the almonds. The orange slices add a nice bright finish to this cup of tea. We enjoy this tea as a cozy way to wake up on a chilly winter morning.
Brew 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of tea in 170° F of water for 2 minutes.
We originally thought of our Raspberry Vanilla Herbal as an iced tea blend, but as cold weather has creeped in, we’ve found it equally delicious as a hot tea. This tea is a fruit and flower combination that a perfect tea to end your day.
Brew 1-2 teaspoons of tea in 8-10 ounces of water at 210°F .
