Ginger Lemon Tulsi. Tulsi tea is also known as Holy Basil. It has been used in Indian culture as a healing herb for thousands of years. Naturally caffeine-free, this herbal tea is soothing any time of day. While many tulsis have strong clove-like flavors, our tulsi tea has a fresh, lemony aroma and flavor making it natural to blend with ginger and lemon myrtle to create a lovely herbal tea.

Double Mint Tulsi. Our Double Mint Tulsi Herbal Tea is a caffeine-free blend of peppermint, spearmint, and tulsi. Full of antioxidants, this minty tea blend adds a refreshing note to our Medicine Ball Tea Recipe.

Honey. This recipe calls for a heaping spoonful of honey! We always suggest using raw local honey. If you are local to SpiceTopia, be sure to stop in Blue Ridge Honey which is produced right here in Ventura county by well-cared-for healthy bees! Honey is believed to be a cough suppressant, so the addition of it to your tea is especially helpful when dealing with a cough!

If you’re not local to Ventura, be sure to look for raw honey produced close to your home.

Lemonade. This recipe calls for warm lemonade which seems odd, but adds a great sweet and sour taste to this tea as well as lots of vitamin C. Make your own lemonade with a simple syrup, lemon juice, and water – or buy your favorite lemonade with just those ingredients!

Technique:

Steeping Tea. When making tea, the most important factors to a good outcome is how hot the water is and how long you steep your tea. Tulsi is an herbal tea and therefore should be steeped at 200°F -210°F for 5 minutes.

Other than steeping your tea, this recipe is a simple stir-it-together concoction!
